Songs from Christmas

Christmas is a time of year when people often experience a heightened sense of tradition. We want Christmas to be just like we've always had it since we were a kid.

Traditions are good, and rightly used can point us towards Jesus. But just because a carol has been sung for years, doesn't mean it will point us to Jesus. That's why at Redeemer we want to choose carols from our tradition that point us to the message of Christmas - the Jesus Christ has come into the world to live a perfect life, die on the cross and rise again for sinners such as you and I. That's the joy of Christmas - so that's what we want to sing about.

Here's a list of carols that we sung during December:

Angels From The Realms of Glory

Angels We Have Heard on High

Come Thou Long Expected Jesus

Hark The Herald Angels Sing

How Suddenly A Baby Cries - Keith and Kristyn Getty

Joy To The World

O Come, All Ye Faithful

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

O Little Town of Bethlehem - (US melody) we played this with a salsa feel :-)

Once In Royal David's City

Silent Night

The First Nowell

What Child Is This?

Thou Who Was Rich

O Holy Night
