Our men got together on June 16th 2012 to consider how the cross shapes our lives now. For many Christians, we understand how the cross has brought forgiveness for our past sins, and the hope of eternal life, but there is a disconnect between the cross and our lives now.

Redeemer Men

Mission: Redeemer’s Men’s Ministry exists to train and equip men for ministry leadership in the home, in the church and in the workplace.

Men who go through the training should be able to:
    •    share the gospel clearly and confidently
    •    understand the core doctrines of the Christian faith
    •    understand the essence of the church
    •    understand the biblical qualifications of church leaders
    •    understand and defend the Redeemer statement of faith
    •    understand the Redeemer covenant
    •    understand the Redeemer constitution
    •    understand Redeemer’s philosophy of ministry
    •    disciple other Christians

Schedule

Monthly Meetings - we meet about ten times during the year on Saturday mornings at 8:30am.

Year One

8:30 - 9:00 - Breakfast

9:00 - 9:15  - Devotional

9:15 - 10:15 - Session #1

10:15 - 10:45 -  Break

10:45 - 11:45 -  Session #2

    •    Who is God?
    •    What is the trinity?
    •    Who is man?
    •    Who is Jesus?
    •    How is man saved?
    •    What is justification?
    •    What is regeneration?
    •    What is repentance and faith?
    •    What is election?
    •    What is sanctification?
    •    What is perseverance?
    •    What is the church?
    •    What is civil government?
    •    What is the world to come?

    •    What is the church?
    •    Who leads the church?
    •    Who governs the church?
    •    What is church membership?
    •    What is church discipline?
    •    What is baptism?
    •    What is the Lord’s supper?

    •    The Man - Why manhood is important?
    •    Man and his God - How do I walk with God?
    •    Man and his Parents - How do I relate to my parents?
    •    Man and his Friends - How do I invest in friends and mentors?
    •    Man and his Purity - How do I pursue purity?
    •    Man and his Wife - How do I love my wife?
    •    Man and his Family - How do I lead at home? (Shepherding your family)
    •    Man and his Work - How do I lead at Work? (working with integrity)
    •    Man and his Money - How do I lead financially (generosity, responsibility)
    •    Man and his Debt - How do I get out of debt?
